Position Overview

  • Compensation: The salary range for this position is £50,000 to £54,000 annually, contingent upon your qualifications and prior experience.

About the Role

As a Senior Marketing Consultant within our Medical Affairs division, you will be instrumental in enhancing our marketing communication services tailored for clients in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors. Your focus will be on delivering various marketing outputs, including email campaigns, websites, social media strategies, product promotions, and educational events aimed at healthcare professionals and patients. You will also contribute to our internal client engagement strategy, ensuring effective delivery and ongoing success.

Your background in pharmaceutical marketing will enable you to create compelling content across various marketing materials while understanding the nuances of medical marketing strategy. This knowledge will assist project teams in defining approaches and measuring the success of diverse initiatives. A solid grasp of regulatory compliance will be essential as you maintain high standards in this area.

This multi-faceted role allows you to utilize your project management skills, leading client projects with autonomy and creativity. Collaborating closely with our Creative team, you will develop engaging and innovative marketing campaigns.

Your attention to detail and ability to navigate healthcare regulations will be crucial as we explore new avenues and execute marketing strategies that resonate with targeted audiences.

Key Duties Include:

  • Developing comprehensive and engaging content for various materials while ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations.
  • Assisting project teams in strategizing marketing-related projects and proposals, offering suggestions and brainstorming ideas with clients.
  • Facilitating the planning, development, execution, and optimization of marketing outputs, enhancing processes, organizing client workshops, and overseeing metrics to assess project success.
  • Collaborating with the Creative team to deliver innovative marketing materials.
  • Advising clients and project teams on compliance matters.
  • Providing strategic insights to support client projects and enhance our external presence.
  • Responding to marketing inquiries from existing and potential clients.
  • Enhancing marketing knowledge across the organization through internal training sessions.
  • Supporting the creation of internal business development materials, including pitch decks and case studies.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape, including regulatory requirements, and be capable of developing effective, compliant marketing outputs. This expertise will be vital in supporting our rapidly growing global organization, showcasing initiative and contributing innovative ideas.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A degree or higher qualification in a marketing-related or scientific field (minimum 2.1 or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a marketing role within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, particularly the ABPI Code of Practice, to create engaging and compliant content.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, including social media, SEO, and email marketing.
  • A willingness to explore and utilize evolving technologies to enhance marketing and medical communications services.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in account management, fostering strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Project management experience with exceptional organizational skills.
  • High proficiency in written English and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data for actionable insights.
  • Ability to maintain high productivity and adapt to changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
