  • Compensation: The salary range for this position is £50,000 to £54,000 annually, commensurate with your qualifications and experience.

About the Role

As a Senior Marketing Consultant within our Medical Affairs division, you will be instrumental in enhancing our marketing communication services tailored for clients in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors. Your focus will be on delivering a variety of marketing outputs, including email campaigns, websites, social media initiatives, product promotions, and educational events, primarily directed at healthcare professionals and patients. You will also play a vital role in shaping our internal client engagement strategy, ensuring its effective execution and ongoing success.

With a solid background in pharmaceutical marketing, you will adeptly develop content for various marketing materials while possessing a comprehensive understanding of medical marketing strategies. This expertise will enable you to assist project teams in defining approaches and evaluating the success of diverse initiatives. A strong grasp of regulatory compliance will be essential, as you will uphold high standards in this domain.

In this dynamic role, you will leverage your project management capabilities to lead client projects, fostering autonomy and creativity. Collaborating closely with our Creative team, you will help design compelling and innovative marketing campaigns.

Your meticulous attention to detail and ability to navigate the complexities of healthcare regulations will be crucial as we explore new frontiers and execute marketing campaigns that effectively engage the intended audiences.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Creating engaging and comprehensive content for various materials and audiences while ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations.
  • Assisting project teams in defining strategies for a range of marketing projects and collaborating with clients to brainstorm ideas.
  • Overseeing the planning, development, execution, and optimization of marketing outputs, enhancing processes, organizing client workshops, and tracking metrics to assess project success.
  • Working alongside the Creative team to deliver impactful marketing materials.
  • Providing compliance guidance to clients and project teams.
  • Offering strategic insights to support client projects and enhance our external presence.
  • Addressing marketing inquiries from current and prospective clients.
  • Facilitating internal marketing training sessions to boost knowledge and capabilities across the organization.
  • Supporting the creation of internal business development materials, including pitch decks and case studies.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical landscape, including regulatory requirements, and will be adept at creating effective, compliant marketing outputs. This expertise will be vital as you contribute to a rapidly growing global organization, demonstrating initiative and offering innovative ideas to drive progress. You should be organized, self-motivated, and eager to work both independently and collaboratively.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A degree or higher qualification in a marketing-related or scientific field (minimum 2.1 or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a marketing role within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and guidelines, particularly the ABPI Code of Practice, to create engaging and compliant content.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, including social media, SEO, and email marketing.
  • A willingness to explore and utilize evolving technologies to enhance marketing and medical communications services.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience in account management, fostering strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Previous project management experience with exceptional organizational skills.
  • High proficiency in written English and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data to generate actionable insights.
  • Ability to maintain high productivity and adapt to changing deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
