About the Team:

The Advanced Development team at Roku is in search of outstanding talent to create groundbreaking technologies and concepts that will redefine the future of TV streaming. As a Lead Software Engineering Strategist, you will enjoy significant visibility and be accountable for establishing expectations, empowering your team to thrive, and shaping the product roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide a team of skilled software engineers in crafting next-generation tools for Roku developers.
  • Develop the Roku Simulator and essential analysis systems.
  • Facilitate Continuous Integration pipelines for Roku Firmware.
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable development systems to support platform expansion.
  • Lead architectural discussions, take charge of projects, and deliver superior software.
  • Collaborate with engineers and leaders to gather evolving architectural requirements.
  • Automate repetitive processes and encourage a self-service culture.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in managing engineering teams.
  • 10+ years of experience in building scalable software systems.
  • Familiarity with embedded software, web-based tools, and cross-platform product builds.
  • Expertise in C/C++, Python, Linux, containerization, and CI/CD practices.
  • Proven proactive and self-motivated approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
