Position: Lead Software Engineer

Compensation:
Competitive salary range of £50,000 to £55,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including private healthcare, life insurance, income protection, travel coverage, paid educational leave, and company-sponsored social events.

Key Qualifications for Lead Software Engineer:
  • Extensive experience in backend development utilizing server-side programming languages such as Golang, Python, or Java.
  • Proficient in developing and executing unit and integration tests for backend systems.
  • Familiar with front-end JavaScript frameworks, particularly Angular.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, web services, and relational databases like PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledgeable in software development best practices and design patterns.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capable of maintaining productivity while adapting to changing deadlines.
  • Familiarity with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, and RabbitMQ is advantageous.

Responsibilities for Lead Software Engineer:
In an Agile environment utilizing a technology stack that includes Python, Go, and Angular, along with Kubernetes and Docker for deployment on a cloud-based platform, your responsibilities will include:
  • Engaging in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from design through to deployment.
  • Innovating features and establishing new benchmarks for technical excellence.
  • Collaborating closely with project managers and clients to define project visions and strategies.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of products and services within budget constraints while meeting project deadlines.
  • Mentoring team members, reviewing their contributions, and providing training to enhance team capabilities.
  • Conducting internal training sessions to share knowledge and improve technical skills across the organization.
