Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom ARM Full time
Job Overview:

You will be part of a team to design, validate, test and help to build a complex software stack for a high-performance and resilient Arm's global engineering platform.

You will enjoy a challenge, coding and developing complete systems to a high standard.

Working in the Solution Architecture Team, which is part of the Arm Productivity Engineering department, we are responsible for ensuring that we have a confirmed understanding of both our engineering infrastructure and the engineering workflows that run on top of it, by applying a mixture of Software, DevOps, Data Engineering, Data Analytics and Data Visualisation disciplines to a variety of complex engineering problems.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn and expand your skills working with a complex engineering platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Architect, build and lead system integration processes to meet the engineering needs.
  • Evaluate any project constraints and devise alternatives to reduce risks, whilst performing process re-engineering.
  • Analyse and find any impacts that technical changes may have on business processes.
  • Perform continuous research on new technologies to stay updated with the best alternatives for the existing architectures.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Experience implementing infrastructure-as-code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Scala, Java or Python.
  • Deep understanding of AWS or other cloud providers (e.g. GCP, Azure).
  • Strong understanding of key security technologies and protocols such as TLS, OAuth and SPIFFE.
  • Observability, alerting, metrics collection and visualisation (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Datadog).
Nice To Have:
  • Migrating on-premises services to the cloud.
  • Container orchestration deployment, configuration, and administration (e.g. Docker Swarm, Kubernetes).
  • Automation and configuration management (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Analytics infrastructure and tooling (e.g. Databricks, Apache Spark).
  • Technical leadership, championing standard methodologies, and leading technical product transformations.
What We Offer:

We are proud to have a set of behaviours that reflect our culture and guide our decisions, defining how we work together to defy the ordinary and shape the extraordinary.

We are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal opportunities are available to all applicants and colleagues.
