About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Energy Manager to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading our energy management efforts and ensuring that our facilities are operating in an energy-efficient and sustainable manner.

Main Responsibilities
  • Energy Management: Develop and implement energy management strategies to reduce energy consumption and costs.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant energy regulations, including UK ETS and EPBR.
  • Energy Audits: Conduct regular energy audits to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to reduce energy consumption.
  • Energy Efficiency Projects: Develop and implement energy efficiency projects to reduce energy consumption and costs.
  • Energy Management System: Implement and maintain an energy management system to track and analyze energy usage.
  • Utilities Procurement: Procure utilities in a cost-effective and energy-efficient manner.
  • Reporting and Budgeting: Develop and maintain energy-related reports and budgets.

Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Engineering, Science, or Energy-related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Significant experience in energy management, including experience in a complex multi-site environment.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of energy-efficient working practices, building services, and centralised plant. Experience with energy management systems, strategies, and policies.
  • Certifications: Chartered Energy Manager (Energy Institute) or Recognised EMA Energy Manager.
