About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Manager to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in reducing our carbon footprint and promoting sustainable practices across our facilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement energy management strategies to reduce energy consumption and costs
  • Oversee the accurate and timely rebilling of tenants and utilities procurement
  • Lead on energy infrastructure projects, including the implementation of an Energy Management System (EnMS)
  • Conduct energy and water efficiency audits and develop action plans to reduce consumption
  • Engage with staff on people-focused energy reduction initiatives and promote a culture of sustainability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement energy-related policies and procedures
  • Provide expert advice on energy and water management, including building services and centralised plant
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory schemes, such as UK ETS and EPBR, and ensure compliance
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Science, or Energy-related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Post-graduate level knowledge in energy management or a related field
  • Significant experience in energy management, preferably in a complex multi-site environment
  • Chartered Engineer or Recognised EMA Energy Manager certification
  • Experience with energy management systems, strategies, and policies
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
