Role Significance

This position is crucial in delivering tailored, client-focused HR guidance and support to educational institutions, ensuring alignment with their specific policies and legal obligations. The role also assists Senior HR Consultants and the Head of HR Services in developing consultancy services tailored to the education sector.

Our team comprises legal and HR experts with extensive knowledge and experience in education, consistently recognized in top legal rankings. Our primary goal is to assist our education clients in making decisions that are fundamentally beneficial for their students and organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a solution-oriented HR advisory service addressing a comprehensive range of complex employee relations and HR issues.
  • Ensure exceptional client service, maintaining a client-centric approach in all activities.
  • Identify and maximize new business opportunities, guiding them to successful completion.
  • Stay informed about sector developments to ensure compliance and relevance in advice.
  • Lead various client projects, encompassing generalist HR functions, including investigations.
  • Manage complex casework and provide support via telephone and email.
  • Supervise HR Advisors as necessary.
  • Prepare for pitches and presentations.
  • Develop and deliver training content for clients.
  • Create and update precedent documentation in response to legislative changes.
  • Review existing documentation to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Engage in public speaking at conferences, showcasing expertise.
  • Write articles and blog posts for internal and external publications.
  • Cultivate trusted advisor relationships with clients, overseeing annual HR service renewals.
  • Manage client files, ensuring careful tracking of fees and time, and address billing needs.
  • Accurately record all activities in line with the firm's time recording policy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Associate CIPD qualified (or equivalent).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices and employment law.
  • Experience in business development activities.
  • Proven track record in managing complex HR casework.
  • Familiarity with trade union negotiations is a plus.
