About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our team at Spire Healthcare Group plc. As a key member of our People Team, you will play a vital role in supporting the hospital with all aspects of HR.

Key Responsibilities
  • Workforce Planning: Collaborate with the hospital Senior Management Team to drive effective workforce planning, ensuring the right people are in the right roles at the right time.
  • Onboarding and Induction: Lead the hospital onboarding activities for all new joiners, ensuring a seamless and comprehensive induction process.
  • Probation and Performance Management: Support managers and new starters through probation periods, providing expert guidance and advice to ensure successful outcomes.
  • HR Administration: Ensure accurate and confidential management of all colleague HR files and personal information, adhering to GDPR guidelines.
  • Wellbeing and Absence Management: Promote wellbeing initiatives and actively manage absence within the hospital, reducing short-term absence and effectively managing long-term absence.
  • Employee Relations: Be the initial point of contact for all HR matters, providing high-quality, consistent HR advice in line with Spire policy, procedure, and best practice.
  • Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures: Support managers in performance management processes, disciplinary, and grievance issues, attending meetings and discussions as required.
  • Appraisals and Pay Reviews: Coordinate the appraisal process and support managers to have regular 1:1s with all colleagues, ensuring fairness and consistency in annual pay reviews.
Requirements
  • CIPD Qualification: Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent.
  • HR Experience: Demonstrable experience as a HR Advisor or in another HR-based role.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of HR functions and systems, employment laws, and disciplinary/grievance procedures.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to identify and implement business-focused solutions, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Communication and Relationship-Building: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels and build strong relationships.
  • Organisation and Time Management: Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and manage confidential information.
