About This Opportunity
East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Trauma and Orthopaedic inpatient therapy team at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive patient care. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing patients' needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and facilitating safe and effective discharge planning back to the community.
Your Responsibilities:- Manage a diverse caseload of patients, ensuring thorough assessment, formulation, and evaluation of patient-centered care strategies.
- Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care within the acute ward setting.
- Provide expert guidance and support to junior therapists, students, and support workers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Actively participate in training initiatives and contribute to the advancement of occupational therapy practice within the department.
- Champion the role of occupational therapy and promote its value to the wider multidisciplinary team.
