About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team within the Medical and Healthcare of the Older Person (HCOOP) unit at the William Harvey Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist looking for a new challenge, or a highly motivated Band 5 Occupational Therapist ready to take their career to the next level.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care within a busy acute inpatient setting.
  • Manage a diverse caseload of patients, conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and evaluating patient progress.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to facilitate safe and effective discharge planning for patients returning to the community.
  • Act as a clinical resource and mentor for junior therapists, students, and support staff, fostering a culture of learning and development within the department.
  • Promote the value of Occupational Therapy and advocate for patient-centered care throughout the healthcare team.
