We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Medical and Healthcare of the Older Person (HCOOP) team at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients on our acute medical and HCOOP wards.
Main Responsibilities- Manage a clinical caseload of patients, assessing, formulating, and evaluating patient-centered care.
- Facilitate safe discharge planning from hospital to the community.
- Deputize for the Team Leader on clinical and managerial issues within the team.
- Be actively involved in training and development within the Department, supporting new graduate Occupational therapists, student therapists, therapy apprentices, and support workers.
- Promote the role of Occupational Therapy and demonstrate the values to the members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Requirements- BSc Occupational Therapist qualification.
- Member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) or specialist section for Medical/HCOOP or any additional specialist section linked to Frailty.
- Highly developed clinical skills in Medical/HCOOP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent time management.
- Experience working within Medical/HCOOP inpatients.
- Competent presentation skills.
- 18 months post-graduate experience in a relevant specialist area of Inpatients, Medical/HCOOP, general rotations.
- Proven record of providing high-quality intervention for high-risk patients.
