Job Summary:

Rosscare is a leading provider of healthcare services, and we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Clinical Scientist to join our Kent Wheelchair Service team.

About the Role:

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with service users of all ages, assessing their mobility needs and prescribing manual and powered wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories.

You will be responsible for supervising junior staff, providing clinical guidance to non-clinical colleagues, and working with clinical and operational teams to deliver high-quality service performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the mobility needs of adults and children with complex needs
  • Prescribe manual and powered wheelchairs with associated accessories
  • Supervise junior staff and provide clinical guidance
  • Work with clinical and operational teams to deliver high-quality service performance
  • Liaise with service user groups and stakeholders to facilitate joint working and improve service user outcomes
  • Provide support for internal and external training programs
  • Contribute to the development of internal training resources
  • Undertake and document risk assessments and corresponding risk management

Requirements:

  • Highly motivated individual with excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills
  • Ability to manage a varied workload
  • Experience working with patients with long-term or deteriorating medical conditions
  • Confidence in using digital systems and software for record-keeping and analysis
  • Practical skills relating to equipment management or willingness to develop skills
  • Registration with the HCPC as an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Clinical Scientist, or registration as a Nurse with the NMC
  • Full current UK driving licence for a manual transmission vehicle
