Job Title: Activity Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Activity Therapist to join our team at Rosscare, a leading provider of healthcare services. As an Activity Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing the mobility needs of adults and children with complex needs, and prescribing manual and powered wheelchairs with associated posture management and pressure management accessories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess the mobility needs of service users and develop personalized plans to meet their needs.
  • Prescribe and deliver manual and powered wheelchairs, as well as posture management and pressure management accessories.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and operational colleagues to deliver high-quality services that meet contractual performance standards.
  • Liaise with service user groups, stakeholders, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate joint working and improve service user outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development of internal training resources and provide support for external training programs.
  • Undertake and document risk assessments and corresponding risk management strategies.
Requirements:
  • Registration with the HCPC as an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Clinical Scientist, or registration as a Nurse with the NMC.
  • Full current UK driving license for a manual transmission vehicle.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
