Senior Research Associate

Our client, a leading biopharmaceutical company based in the UK, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Associate to join their Biology team. Reporting to the Head of Biology, the successful candidate will be responsible for investigating the efficacy and safety of the company's cell therapy in various in vitro and in vivo models.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory research, with experience in culturing cell lines and primary cells, as well as setting up and running flow cytometry assays. They will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and will require excellent communication skills to interact with colleagues across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and execution of experiments, technical studies, and tasks, working independently based on protocols and in line with departmental objectives.
  • Differentiation of iPSC/HSC cells and characterization via flow cytometry, western blot, ELISA, and immunofluorescence.
  • Cell culture (propagation, banking, characterization) of cell lines and primary cells utilized in therapeutic programs for lead selection and profiling.

The successful candidate will be a team player, with a strong work ethic and a passion for scientific research. They will be able to work independently, as well as collaboratively, and will be comfortable with a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.

Requirements:

  • PhD or MSc in a relevant biological science discipline.
  • Experience in laboratory research, with a strong background in cell culture and flow cytometry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
