We are a leading financial institution committed to helping our clients achieve their financial goals. As a Global Corporate and Investment Bank (GCIB) KYC Onboarding Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth onboarding of clients across various business sectors and regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with bankers, operations, and other stakeholders to determine client onboarding requirements.
  • Establish relationships with clients to collect and verify Know Your Client (KYC) documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, bankers, operations, risk, and other internal functions.
  • Monitor and track client onboarding progress, ensuring timely completion and adherence to internal governance routines.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with non-compliance with KYC processes, including restrictions, closures, and business growth impacts.
  • Collect and analyze client feedback to improve our onboarding processes and policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with process recommendations, procedural updates, and policy changes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Partner with colleagues across various departments to drive process improvements and enhance client experience.
  • Ensure timely collection of client documentation, including follow-up as needed.
  • Balance client needs with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Meet performance metrics and resolve exceptions within required timeframes.
  • Develop expertise in customer due diligence (CDD) requirements and guide clients on compliance.
  • Support the collection of enhanced customer due diligence (ECDD) requirements and guide clients on compliance.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to bank privacy policies when handling non-public information.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a client-facing role within the financial services or a related industry.
  • Preferred: Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification.
  • Knowledge of AML CDD policy and standards, industry practices in AML CDD, and legal entities in global jurisdictions.
  • Strong client focus and excellent interpersonal skills for motivation, collaboration, and encouragement.
