Role Overview

The KYC Outreach team collaborates with the Global Corporate & Investment Banking (GCIB) sector to fulfill Anti Money Laundering (AML) Client Due Diligence (CDD) Refresh requirements. This team is tasked with establishing client connections as directed by the frontline, reaching out to clients to gather necessary AML CDD documentation, and serving as a coordination hub for addressing any issues related to client-specific documentation needs. The individual in this role will be accountable for achieving business objectives while ensuring compliance with established metrics.

The Client Outreach Specialist (COS) team acts as a support entity for the client relationship team, assisting in meeting AML CDD Refresh requirements. The COS will collaborate with Treasury product sales and other GCIB or market relationship teams, maintain continuity with the client refresh population, engage clients for essential AML/CDD documentation, and serve as an escalation point for any service or operational challenges that may occur during the refresh process. This role is crucial in facilitating communication between Banking/Markets and AML Refresh teams to ensure timely and accurate adherence to policies and regulatory requirements concerning AML, high-risk indicators, and related KYC activities. Responsibilities include reviewing documentation accuracy, conducting screenings, and obtaining necessary approvals from Compliance and Business units.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

Assist GCIB in completing annual refresh for its clients Execute tasks with a client-centric approach while managing risk to the organization Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration aimed at achieving goals Adhere to established performance metrics Master CDD requirements relevant to banking clients and guide clients in compliance Adapt to process recommendations and procedural updates resulting from policy changes, technology advancements, and remediation of control weaknesses Coordinate with partners across different regions and lines of business to support global KYC initiatives Review the client hierarchy for inactive accounts, linkage errors, and potential merges/purges of client entities Assist in monitoring both the Annual refresh population and other KYC-related populations in collaboration with the coverage team

Eligibility Criteria

Experience in financial services, preferably within bankingPrior experience in client-facing roles with a demonstrated strong client focusKnowledge of AML CDD policies and industry standardsUnderstanding of the operational aspects of the bank's products and services utilized by clientsProven skills in stakeholder relationship management to facilitate swift adoption through close collaborationAdept at problem-solving and preempting potential issuesRespect for cultural differencesBachelor's degree preferredKnowledge of AML CDD requirements for legal entities across global jurisdictions
