Client Onboarding Specialist – KYC/AML – Wealth Management

Oval Recruit Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Client Onboarding Specialist to join our team in Central London. As a key member of our Client Services function, you will be responsible for performing client onboarding and AML checks for new clients, reviewing application documents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough client onboarding and AML checks for new clients, ensuring accurate and compliant documentation.
  • Review and verify application documents, including source of wealth checks and suitability advice.
  • Collaborate with Wealth Managers and Associates to ensure proper compliance and risk assessment.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on all new accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Confirm KYC requirements and account opening needs of new custodians.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with new clients, including sanctions, negative press, and PEPs.
  • Work with a variety of financial services products, including onshore and offshore providers, such as SIPP's, Personal Pensions, ISA, Investment accounts, bonds, and wrap providers.
  • Update and maintain client records on our CRM system and with Platform Service Providers.
  • Approve platform requests, including payment requests and new account openings.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in client onboarding, gained from within a Wealth, Investment, Private Banking, or Platform environment.
  • Experience with KYC and AML onboarding.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, including excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with clients and Wealth Managers in a tactful and diplomatic manner.
  • Strong team player, with the ability to mentor and support junior team members.
