About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Account Executive to join our team at Phocas. As a Sales Account Executive, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect and qualify new business leads through various channels, including referrals, networking events, and online research.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Conduct needs analysis, position Phocas' solutions, and provide business justification to close deals.
  • Manage and close concurrent sales cycles, ensuring timely and effective communication with customers and stakeholders.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales quotas, accurately forecasting sales activity and revenue achievement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activity, applying this knowledge to inform sales strategies and tactics.
Requirements
  • Degree-qualified or relevant work experience in sales, business development, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of quota-carrying sales experience, preferably in software-based solutions and B2B environments.
  • Proven track record of over-achieving sales targets, with a strong understanding of sales methodologies and techniques.
  • Experience working with CRM systems, such as Salesforce or HubSpot, and a willingness to learn new tools and workflows.
  • Ability to travel 15-25% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
Desirable Skills
  • Previous sales methodology training, such as SPIN, Challenger, Force, or MEDDIC.
  • Experience in business intelligence, accounting technology, and ERP solutions.
  • Prior experience with HubSpot, preferably in a sales or marketing role.
  • Familiarity with our target markets, including manufacturing, distribution, retail, and services.
