Job Description

Job Title: Windows Server Team Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced IT professional to lead our Windows Server team and drive the delivery of high-quality IT services to the City of Bristol College community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Provide technical leadership and management of the Windows Server team, setting targets and managing resources to ensure the smooth operation of the Windows Server environment.
  • IT Service Delivery: Ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services, meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and driving customer-centric service excellence.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise and guidance on Windows Server technologies, advising other teams on strategy, vision, and roadmap.
  • Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to optimise IT service delivery processes based on ITIL best practices and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Transformation and Innovation: Lead the transformation of Windows Server technologies, reducing complexity, introducing cutting-edge technologies, and improving service delivery to end-users.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Significant experience managing Windows Server Infrastructure technologies with a solid understanding of a large Windows Server Estate.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge and experience of managing disaster recovery, data protection, and high availability features of the Windows operating system, as well as strong experience in a technical support and implementation role.
  • Reporting and Communication: Ability to report accurately on progress and escalate risks and issues for resolution or mitigation.
  • Continuous Learning: Commitment to keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in Windows Server technology and using this knowledge to inform the roadmap.
