Job Title: Windows Server Team Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Windows Server Team Manager to join our IT Services department at City of Bristol College. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Windows Server team, ensuring the smooth operation of the Windows Server environment, and driving customer-centric service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Lead the Windows Server team, setting targets and managing resources to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services.
- Service Delivery: Ensure the smooth operation of the Windows Server environment, meeting service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical leadership and expertise in Windows Server technologies, advising other teams on strategy, vision, and roadmap.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to optimize IT service delivery processes based on ITIL best practices.
- Transformation: Lead the transformation of Windows Server technologies, reducing complexity, introducing cutting-edge technologies, and improving service delivery to end-users.
Requirements:
- Experience: Significant experience managing Windows Server Infrastructure technologies with a solid understanding of a large Windows Server Estate.
- Knowledge: Knowledge and experience of managing disaster recovery, data protection, and high availability features of the Windows operating system.
- Skills: Strong experience in a technical support and implementation role, with experience providing 3rd level support in a similar field.
- Reporting: Experience in monitoring and capacity management with the ability to report on the status of the environment.
- Planning: Strong planning and organizing skills, able to balance immediate and longer-term goals and utilize knowledge of operational and business activities to prioritize demand.
