Collections Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Collections Specialist to join our team at Investec. As a Collections Specialist, you will play a critical role in resolving customer disputes and ensuring timely payment of outstanding balances.
Key Responsibilities- Establish effective communication with customers to understand reasons for non-payment and negotiate agreeable repayment terms.
- Identify and escalate vulnerable customers to our special support team for additional assistance.
- Collaborate with our Insolvencies team to resolve complex cases and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to promote long-term loyalty and retention.
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to handle high-volume calls in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident and resilient with a solutions-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to think laterally and proactively to resolve complex customer issues.
- Excellent customer care skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong numerical skills and understanding of lease and asset finance.
- Knowledge of Consumer Credit Act and other regulatory requirements.
