We are seeking an experienced Bridging Underwriter to join our team at Coast Specialist Recruitment. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable lender who values a "family feel" within their office.

The Role:

As a Bridging Underwriter, you will be responsible for managing a pipeline of regulated bridging loan cases and prioritizing accordingly. You will underwrite loan applications within company lending criteria by making quality lending decisions.

You will be vigilant when working on cases and refer where necessary to the appropriate person. Maintaining a high level of communication at all times with interested parties, including brokers, applicants, surveyors, and solicitors, is crucial.

You will work closely with other departments within the company, including sales, compliance, finance, and collections. Your ability to think outside the box and suggest ways to overcome potential problems while ensuring no additional risk to the company will be highly valued.

You will maintain oversight of a loan post-completion and follow up on any offer conditions prior to handing the loan to collections. Keeping up to date with current best practice and regulatory requirements is essential.

Key Competencies:

Experience of underwriting bridge finance products is essential. The role is fully office-based and offers a competitive salary and supporting package.
