Our expertise encompasses the promotion, development, and construction of wind farms, photovoltaic plants, and hydroelectric power stations, alongside their operation, maintenance, and the sale of generated clean energy. Currently, we manage 2.1 GW in operational capacity and maintain a robust portfolio of 8 GW in projects, with 2.5 GW in advanced development and an additional 5.5 GW in earlier stages.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Business Developer for our United Kingdom Business Unit, tasked with fostering both commercial and technical relationships with clients while expanding our business reach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate new and profitable opportunities in Solar, Wind, and Storage, from project identification through to the development phase.
  • Assess the economic and technical viability of projects, managing greenfield, co-development, and M&A opportunities while implementing a business development strategy focused on market analysis and project opportunity evaluations.
  • Play a pivotal role in the origination of opportunities within the UK, emphasizing the analysis phase, including country assessments and market intelligence.
  • Investigate regional requirements, gather specific market intelligence, and pinpoint key topics to enhance regional strategy approaches.
  • Assist in managing engineering studies, environmental impact assessments, and other technical activities related to projects.
  • Coordinate with all project stakeholders and maintain relationships with government entities, co-developers, TSO/DSO, landowners, and consultants.
  • Support project due diligence processes and facilitate project acquisition closures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the UK renewable energy sector.
  • BSc. Degree in Engineering, Finance, or related fields. A specialized master's degree or additional training in renewables is advantageous.

Additional Requirements:

  • The candidate must be legally eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
  • This role requires frequent domestic travel.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting, with prior experience in financial modeling for energy or infrastructure projects and VBA being highly valued.
  • Strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
  • Demonstrated motivation, proactivity, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
