About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Development Underwriter to join our team at The Opportunity Hub UK. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for underwriting a profitable book of business, working closely with a panel of brokers to develop new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Develop and underwrite new business opportunities, working closely with brokers to identify and pursue new business leads.
  • Renewal Business: Underwrite renewal business, ensuring that existing policies are accurately assessed and renewed in a timely manner.
  • Broker Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with a panel of brokers, providing exceptional service and support to ensure their needs are met.
  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding service to customers, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Systems and Documentation: Maintain accurate systems and documentation, producing reports as required to support business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Strong Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on being part of a successful team.
  • Broker Relationships: Existing relationships with a number of brokers in the UK, including London.
  • Advanced Communication Skills: Advanced communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with the ability to work with a variety of systems and look for efficiencies in business processes.
  • Professional Qualifications: ACII qualified.
