We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team at The Travelers Companies, Inc. and contribute to the development of bespoke insurance solutions for our largest clients in the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement responsible product strategies within the Corporate division
- Engage in key case underwriting and new business activities, ensuring compliance with underwriting standards and regulations
- Mentor and coach underwriting staff to achieve profitability objectives and enhance their skills and knowledge
- Develop and leverage broker/client relationships to drive business growth and revenue
- Act as an expert in large case underwriting, providing guidance and support to colleagues and clients
- Assist in determining sector strategy and identifying opportunities for growth and expansion
- Collaborate with colleagues across various departments to ensure seamless execution of underwriting activities
- Provide superior customer service standards, ensuring client satisfaction and loyalty
Requirements:
- Experience in underwriting Property and Casualty classes of business, with a strong understanding of insurance principles and practices
- Direct engagement with large UK Corporate Clients, with a proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships
