About the Role

Vicon Industries is seeking a highly skilled Regional Sales Manager to join our team in the Midlands area. As a key contributor to our success, you will be responsible for building demand and growing sales of our video security solutions in a multi-customer sales territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Expertise: Develop and communicate a deep understanding of Vicon's competitive advantages and go-to-market strategies to customers, resellers, and design consultants.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with resellers, end-users, and design consultants in the territory by providing expert knowledge of Vicon's solutions and delivering exceptional support.
  • Sales Growth: Utilize these relationships to drive sales growth of Vicon's products and solutions to resellers in the territory.
  • Lead Generation: Network in the market to identify sources of lead opportunities and follow them through to closure.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Collaborate closely with Vicon's staff to report sales activity and opportunity via our CRM system, ensuring accurate demand information for production manufacturing.
  • Marketing Support: Work with Vicon Marketing to support branding requirements and assess marketing needs in the channel.
  • Travel and Communication: Conduct regular personal meetings and sales calls in the territory, with up to 65% travel required.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least three years of experience in sales management in a technology sector or B-to-B.
  • Skills: Self-confidence, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, good interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to operate as a team leader.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical understanding of video technologies, network design/troubleshooting, and software.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 65% as needed.
