About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Administrative Manager to join our team at Harris Primary Academy Orpington. As a key member of our administrative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our academy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead the development and implementation of administrative systems and procedures
    • Manage and supervise a team of administrative staff
    • Hold regular team meetings and provide coaching and mentoring support
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee the planning, development, and maintenance of administrative systems and procedures
    • Manage and maintain accurate records and databases
    • Produce and respond to complex correspondence and reports
  • Financial Management
    • Manage and maintain financial processes and procedures
    • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of the academy budget
    • Support the finance officer with the maintenance of the Academy Fund and associated banking services
  • Communication and Liaison
    • Provide advice and guidance to staff and others on complex administrative issues
    • Lead in the marketing and promotion of the academy
    • Present the professional and welcoming face of the academy to all visitors, staff, and students
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification or experience in a relevant discipline
  • Several years' experience working in an office environment at senior level
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience of using Bromcom or other MIS
  • Experience of working with the general public
  • Experience of using, maintaining, and developing administrative systems
  • Good understanding of databases, including ability to use database to procedure reports and statistics
  • Full working knowledge of relevant policies/codes of practice/legislation
