Position: Financial Administrator

Location: Remote

Salary: Competitive

Work Model: Monday to Friday with the option for remote work

Flexicruit is collaborating with a prominent supplier in the food and ingredients sector. This organization caters to a diverse array of industries, ranging from manufacturing to retail, and serves both small businesses and some of the largest corporations across the UK and Europe. As they continue to innovate and expand their product offerings, they are seeking a Financial Administrator to become a vital part of their close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing sales invoices based on received proof of delivery from logistics partners
  • Addressing inquiries related to customer accounts
  • Preparing financial statements for management
  • Conducting bank reconciliations
  • Managing VAT and Intrastat reporting for sales and purchases
  • Compiling reports for EC sales
  • Entering purchase invoices and expenses or supplier credit notes into accounting software
  • Creating new supplier and customer accounts as well as new product entries
  • Overseeing accounts receivable and credit control, including posting customer payments
  • Monitoring customer accounts for credit limits
  • Following up on outstanding customer invoices
  • Reporting on late customer payments
  • Submitting claims to credit insurers and handling inquiries from insurers
  • Filing County Court Judgments (CCJs) as necessary

Desirable Skills:

  • Proficiency in Sage, preferably Sage Line 50
  • Understanding of fundamental principles of double-entry bookkeeping
  • Ability to identify inconsistencies or discrepancies in financial records
  • Skill in managing and tracking outstanding payments to ensure timely collection
  • Capability to communicate financial matters clearly with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines
