Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and ensure a smooth booking process for the Cardiac Suite, including the arrangement of PCI and intricate cardiac procedures.
  • Serve as the primary contact for inquiries related to the cardiac suite, both in writing and over the phone.
  • Recognize the necessity for additional resources, communicate this to the Cardiac Suite Manager, and collaborate with the team to fulfill these requirements.
  • Draft clinic letters and documents utilizing the Electronic Patient Record system, with comprehensive training provided.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to phone inquiries from patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Work autonomously, managing and prioritizing your workload efficiently to meet departmental demands.
  • Actively participate as a member of the broader Cardiology multi-disciplinary team (MDT), striving for excellence in patient care.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and adaptability by covering for colleagues in the administration team during their absence.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team member with a flexible work ethic, ensuring consistent support within the Cardiology Department.

Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of administrative experience.
  • Grade C or above in Mathematics and English or equivalent qualifications.
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in touch typing.
  • Administrative experience within a healthcare environment.
