Position Overview

The Cardiac Care Suite is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to delivering exceptional patient care, we would like to hear from you.

Our unit specializes in advanced cardiac procedures, including Cardiac Angiography, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, Pacemaker insertions, and Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy. We cater to a diverse patient population, managing both elective outpatient cases and acute inpatient needs across two Cardiac Catheterization Labs and a 9-bed recovery area. Collaboration with the Coronary Care Unit and Tisbury Ward is also integral to our operations.

This full-time role requires flexibility to meet the service demands and participation in the On Call rota. We encourage prospective candidates to arrange an informal visit to our unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and scrub for all cardiac procedures
  • Serve as the running nurse during procedures
  • Provide comprehensive patient care in the recovery unit, both pre and post-procedure
  • Conduct pre-assessment clinics
  • Fulfill on-call duties as required

Experience Requirements

Essential

  • At least one year of post-qualification nursing experience

Desirable

  • Experience in a Cath Lab setting
  • Proficiency in scrubbing for procedures
  • Recovery nursing experience
  • Background in cardiology
