Job Summary:

The role of a Retail Sales Manager (Territory Sales Consultant) is an excellent opportunity to drive sales and product awareness of our products with assigned B&Q stores.

This role will be working across multiple locations, including Southend-on-Sea, Chelmsford, Basildon, Roneo Corner, and Romford. As a Territory Sales Consultant, you will be required to live in these areas.

This position is ideal for a sales professional with retail sales or service experience, who has coached or mentored others.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong selling relationships with store associates, store management, and other customer contacts.
  • Conduct product knowledge training sessions for all B&Q Store teams, including features, benefits, and selling skills, and may include a demo of the products.
  • Continually promote and represent the brand and product strengths to B&Q store teams and consumers.
  • Identify opportunities in service/upselling and maximizing resource at store level with solutions.
  • Maintain store signage, merchandising displays, color chip, and color card stock.
  • Utilize the CRM system to document sales calls and store visits.
  • Conduct events to promote products and increase sales.
  • Ensure in-store activations and business activity are executed successfully in each store.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, marketing, or merchandising.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring others.
  • Retail experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including a minimum of 2 Saturdays a month and bank holidays.
  • Valid driver's license required for the role.
