Job Summary:

Premier Underwriting Ltd is a leading motor underwriting agency that manages a significant portfolio of insurance premiums. We are seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join our team and ensure that our business operates within the framework of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Premier Underwriting Ltd complies with all relevant FCA regulations and guidelines.
  • Develop and implement effective compliance and risk management frameworks to mitigate potential risks.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support to the Directors and senior management team on compliance-related matters.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that compliance requirements are integrated into business operations.
  • Act as the final escalation point for customer complaints and liaise with the Financial Ombudsman Service as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in an FCA-regulated insurance/financial services environment or an audit-type role.
  • Proven knowledge of the UK regulatory framework within the financial services sector, particularly in the insurance sector.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to balance business needs with regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in designing and delivering compliance and risk management frameworks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks effectively.
