Starting Salary: £25,480 (includes one sleep-in shift per week). We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Support Worker for our Supported Living Scheme. In this role, you will collaborate with a team to provide 24-hour assistance to adults facing intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health challenges across three distinct services.

Our Supported Living team is committed to empowering our residents to manage their daily activities, fostering independence and a fulfilling lifestyle.

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Advocating for residents' rights and encouraging self-expression
  • Addressing emotional and communication needs
  • Assisting with daily living skills such as budgeting, shopping, laundry, cooking, and cleaning
  • Facilitating community engagement through appointments and social events
  • Creating enjoyable experiences that promote happiness

Whether you are helping a resident with grocery shopping or meal preparation, this role offers the opportunity to enhance your skills in attention to detail and interpersonal communication.

Essential Skills and Experience for a Support Worker

  • Care Certificate (not mandatory)
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors (preferred)
  • Full UK Driving License (preferred but not required)

We are looking for individuals with a positive attitude, adaptability, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Support Worker Shifts

This position is full-time, requiring 37.5 hours per week with a mix of early and late shifts, including some weekends and bank holidays. Sleep-in shifts are also part of the role, compensated at a rate of £67.50 per night.
