Job Summary

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Paralegal to join their Real Estate Residential Property team in London. As a key member of the team, you will assist experienced fee earners with their case load and contribute to the development of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and direct telephone calls to the department, ensuring timely and effective communication with clients and third parties.
  • Respond to client enquiries, providing accurate and knowledgeable support as directed by supervisors.
  • Make calls to clients and third parties involved in conveyancing transactions, maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Order searches and documents from relevant authorities, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare contract packs for sale transactions, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Log post on digital systems, maintaining up-to-date case management.
  • Prepare files for completion, including Certificate of Title and file sign-off by supervisors and partners.
  • Ensure case management is fully up-to-date, meeting departmental standards.
  • Issue documentation to clients for signature, as directed by supervisors.
  • Assist with help to buy matters, providing expert support to clients.

Requirements

  • Full understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
  • Good knowledge of general conveyancing and related topics.
  • Full knowledge of land registry practices.
  • Experience with new build and help to buy matters is desirable, but not essential.
