Position Summary
Shared Agenda aims to be the preferred consulting partner for its clients, striving for excellence in advisory services and solutions that add long-term value to public services. The current projects include local, regional, and national advisory roles across various health sectors, as well as educational estate planning for diverse educational providers.

The selected candidate will primarily act as the lead advisor on intricate commissions, guiding the team while also producing high-quality outputs.   • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30 am – 5.00 pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week
  • Location: Flexible working arrangement with a mix of home and office-based work

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Strategic Property Guidance

  • Lead a team in providing strategic advice to clients, including feasibility studies, estate strategies, and business case development.
  • Engage with external clients and stakeholders to identify new strategic opportunities aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee the appointment of contractors and advisors to facilitate project delivery.
  • Effectively manage multidisciplinary teams both internally and externally.
  • Represent Shared Agenda at external meetings and events professionally.
  • Manage commissions, ensuring adherence to deadlines and monitoring performance.
  • Provide mentorship to junior and graduate consultants.

Client Engagement

  • Serve as the lead consultant on strategic commissions, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
  • Promote a professional brand in all interactions.
  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with colleagues and partners.
  • Understand client needs and foster new client relationships.
  • Ensure a client-centric approach is prioritized within the team.

General Duties

  • Assist in preparing board and performance reports aligned with business KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and tools.
  • Mitigate risks to the business effectively.
  • Support business development efforts by preparing proposals for potential clients.
  • Contribute to workload planning and forecasting.
  • Lead strategic internal projects relevant to your expertise.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following:

Essential

  • A formal degree or equivalent experience (5+ years).
  • Proven experience in developing estate strategies and business cases following established guidelines.
  • Background in public sector, health, social care, or education.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while directing team efforts.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Capability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment and manage personal workload.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full UK driving license and access to transport.

Desirable

  • Formal qualification in Better Business Cases.
  • Membership in a relevant professional organization.
  • Familiarity with healthcare service planning and national policy.
