Job Title: Building /Senior Surveyor (Building Control)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building /Senior Surveyor (Building Control) to join our team at CV Library.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Project Finance Management: Manage project finances, including cost control, forecasting, and reporting, to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring fair terms and conditions.
  • Project Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on project progress, identifying risks and issues, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Compliance and Regulatory: Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulations, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Expert Advice and Support: Provide expert advice on contractual matters to clients and project teams, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Value and Payment Management: Value completed work and arrange payments to subcontractors, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with exposure to a range of residential and commercial projects.
  • Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of construction contracts (JCT/NEC), proficient in using relevant QS software, and ability to work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
