Key Responsibilities:
- IT Service Delivery: Manage the delivery of technical support services to the council's employees, including troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and providing guidance on IT-related matters.
- IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee the council's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and desktop systems, to ensure that it is secure, reliable, and meets the needs of the organization.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to the council's employees, including responding to helpdesk requests, resolving technical issues, and providing guidance on IT-related matters.
- Project Management: Manage IT-related projects, including planning, execution, and delivery, to ensure that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Team Management: Manage a team of technical support specialists, including providing guidance, training, and development opportunities to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.

Requirements:
- Relevant Qualifications: Relevant professional/technical qualification or equivalent training and experience in a similar environment.
- ITIL Certification: ITIL certification or equivalent experience in IT service management.
- Technical Skills: Excellent technical skills, including knowledge of IT infrastructure, technical support, and project management.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage a team of technical support specialists.
