Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the restaurant in the absence of the General Manager, treating each day as if you own the business.
  • Lead the Assistant Manager team, ensuring they have the necessary tools to meet our high standards.
  • Exhibit natural leadership qualities with the ambition to manage your own restaurant.
  • Possess strong business acumen and a keen understanding of financial metrics.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the lives of those around you.
  • Think creatively and innovatively.
  • Realize your potential while helping your team members achieve theirs.
  • Foster a fun and authentic work environment.
  • Have a minimum of two years of experience in a branded restaurant as a Deputy Manager or Assistant Manager.
  • Inspire your team to deliver exceptional guest service.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting awareness of Slim Chickens.
  • Utilize local marketing strategies to enhance sales and visibility in your community.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
  • Proactively mentor and develop your team to excel in their roles.

Daily Duties

  • Manage all daily operations to ensure compliance with company standards in both front and back of house.
  • Ensure staff are well-informed of their roles and provide ongoing supervision and motivation.
  • Participate in management and staff meetings, ensuring the team is well-informed and action items are tracked.
  • Build and maintain a cohesive team focused on achieving business goals.
  • Uphold high standards of quality, service, hygiene, and health and safety, including passing internal audits.
  • Recruit and select staff to meet agreed-upon staffing levels using cost-effective methods.
  • Support the delivery of essential training, identifying needs and capability gaps within the team.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to customer requests and feedback.
  • Assist in back-of-house operations, training the team during peak times.
  • Comply with all food hygiene and health & safety regulations, promoting a positive safety culture.
  • Engage with Franchisee Head Office regularly.
  • Communicate effectively with the General Manager to keep them informed of business developments.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Previous management experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coach and develop your team.
