Job Overview

Brakes, the UK's largest foodservice supplier, is seeking an experienced Engineering Design Manager to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to lead the design and delivery of engineering projects across the company's UK network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the growth and project agendas of Brakes and Fresh Direct businesses by providing engineering design, systems expertise, and design authority.
  • Identify and implement new technology platforms to enhance site capabilities and develop the supply chain.
  • Ensure the delivery of build plans, working closely with Regional Engineering Managers to achieve key metrics, including time, cost, and quality.
  • Design and deliver facilities management assets that meet business requirements from a colleague, legal, and reliability perspective.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the business to prepare, approve, and execute capital projects following PM processes.
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in an FMCG or industrial environment, with a strong background in engineering design and project delivery.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and a good understanding of Health and Safety, Fire Strategy, and Building Regulations in construction.
  • A relevant qualification, such as a HND or Degree, or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders.
