Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team in a customer-focused role. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be tasked with ensuring that student accommodations, including communal areas and private studios, are maintained to the highest standards. Your role will also involve ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and other relevant legislation. This position requires a hands-on approach, and we are seeking someone with technical expertise and practical experience to carry out maintenance tasks efficiently, providing excellent service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform various maintenance tasks including plumbing, painting, decorating, and joinery for communal areas and studios as needed.
  • Maintain the grounds where applicable.
  • Manage building facilities promptly, either by completing tasks personally or coordinating with external contractors as necessary.
  • Uphold the residence to brand standards through painting, flooring, joinery, and necessary replacements.
  • Ensure compliance when addressing identified maintenance issues.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the building.
  • Oversee and document routine testing, maintenance, and risk assessments for all residence aspects.
  • Manage the annual site calendar and ensure all maintenance requests are addressed efficiently.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service as part of the residence management team, overseeing contractor and visitor access.
  • Assist the site team with routine compliance checks and maintain maintenance storage areas.

Compensation Package

  • £28K Basic Salary
  • 20 days of annual leave plus 8 public holidays
  • Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm
  • All necessary equipment will be provided
