Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to become a vital member of our exceptional team at HCRG Care Group. The ideal candidate will hold current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council and will receive comprehensive training to adapt seamlessly to the unique requirements of a secure healthcare setting.

As a Pharmacy Technician, your role will involve working within a secure environment where you will manage the administration of medications to patients through secure medication access points. You will also engage in essential medication management tasks, including conducting audits and inventory checks under the supervision of the Pharmacist Manager.

This position requires weekend shifts every other week, with enhanced pay rates of 30% on Saturdays and 60% on Sundays, significantly increasing your overall earnings.

We are open to considering both bank (zero-hours) and part-time employment options.

Key Responsibilities

Once adequately trained, you will be expected to operate independently within our established protocols and:

  • Deliver a comprehensive medication administration service to patients through secure access points.
  • Collaborate with clinical practitioners to provide a medication management service on designated wings, including medication reconciliation.
  • Support the implementation of cost-effective prescribing practices, the medicines optimization strategy, and the management of medication budgets.
  • Advocate for safe pharmacy practices within the secure environment, offering guidance and training to both patients and staff.
