Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Administrator to join our Finance team at Fairmont St Andrews, a Five-Star luxury hotel and resort in the Home of Golf. As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting the Director of Talent & Culture and the Director of Finance in the administration and monitoring of our colleagues' time and attendance system.

Key Responsibilities:

* Maintain the T&A system, ensuring accurate rotas are created and closed on a timely basis
* Liaise with the payroll bureau to ensure accuracy of processing and for deduction summaries and earning statements
* Provide daily and weekly payroll reporting against forecast
* Administer overtime and lieu
* Handle salary queries, make any wage corrections or adjustments, and handle over payments
* Provide onboarding support and administration
* Manage leaver administration
* Administer contractual changes
* Record, monitor, and report on absence and all other leave
* Ensure accuracy of NML/NMW rates
* Manage pension administration
* Foster communication and compliance in the use of the system, training, and supporting new managers
* Provide general administration assistance within Finance
* Process monthly Payroll runs
* Liaise with department heads in validating data for processing
* Prepare payroll cost analysis and journals for review and posting

Requirements:

* Payroll qualifications preferred
* Excellent knowledge of payroll legislation and employment tax experience
* 2+ years' experience desired
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, technical, and numerical abilities are crucial
* Highly proficient in Excel
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Positive attitude, cheerful, and courteous demeanor
* Ability to remain calm while under pressure
