About the Council
West Oxfordshire District Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Health Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Environmental Regulatory Sector, you will be responsible for managing and executing statutory duties related to private sector housing, caravan and campsite licensing, and public health.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute statutory duties related to private sector housing, caravan and campsite licensing, and public health.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide expert advice and guidance on environmental health matters.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Provide training and support to colleagues on environmental health issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in environmental health management and regulation.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
