About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Officer to join our team at WEST OXFORDSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL. As a Senior Officer in the Environmental Regulatory Sector, you will be responsible for managing and executing statutory duties related to private sector housing, caravan and campsite licensing, and public health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute statutory duties related to private sector housing, caravan and campsite licensing, and public health
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders on environmental health matters
  • Conduct inspections and investigations to identify and address environmental health risks
  • Collaborate with other departments and agencies to achieve shared goals and objectives

Requirements

  • Proven experience in environmental health management and regulation
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively
