About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Officer to join our team at WEST OXFORDSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL. As a Senior Officer in the Environmental Regulatory Sector, you will be responsible for managing and executing statutory duties related to private sector housing, caravan and campsite licensing, and public health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute statutory duties related to private sector housing, caravan and campsite licensing, and public health.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues on environmental health matters.
  • Conduct inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and external agencies to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in environmental health or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
