About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Health Officer to join our team at West Oxfordshire District Council.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute statutory duties related to private sector housing, caravan and campsite licensing and public health.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure compliance with environmental health regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide expert advice and guidance on environmental health matters.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on environmental health issues.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in environmental health management and regulation.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental health laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
