Senior Environmental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Health Officer to join our team at Publica. As a key member of our Environmental Health team, you will play a crucial role in leading and providing expert guidance in the areas of Housing and Public Health.
This exceptional opportunity is ideal for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who has a strong track record of delivering high-quality services in the sector. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of duties, including leading in the Environmental Health functional areas of Private Sector Housing, Nuisance/Anti-Social Behaviour, and Public Health.
As a Senior Officer, you will be responsible for providing technical supervision and supporting other team members in their routine work. You will also have the opportunity to work from home and in the office, with flexible working arrangements available.
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering excellent service and has a strong commitment to excellence in service delivery. If you have a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and are able to remain calm and confident when dealing with challenging customers and environments, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and provide expert guidance in the areas of Housing and Public Health
- Provide technical supervision and support to other team members
- Work on a wide range of duties, including leading in the Environmental Health functional areas
- Deliver high-quality services and meet deadlines
Requirements:
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to remain calm and confident when dealing with challenging customers and environments
- Ability to resolve complex issues by negotiation
- Deliver commitments and take ownership of own caseload
