About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Claims Authority Analyst to join our team at Markel International Services Ltd. As a key member of our Governance & Delegated team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of delegated claims authority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake pre-approval and due diligence reviews of delegated claims providers and cover holders, ensuring contract documentation is accurate and compliant with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure post-bind activities are undertaken efficiently and effectively, aligning with our company's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Due Diligence team to ensure unified delegated authority due diligence, undertaking underwriting cover holder on-boarding activities as directed.
  • Support the Delegated Authority Manager in maintaining delegated claims authority relationships from a due diligence perspective across various divisions, including Lloyd's.
  • Contribute to delivering excellent customer service to internal and external customers, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Prepare and manage delegated claims enhanced MI, tracking performance and outcomes, and reporting on Working closely with the Governance team.
  • Provide data for reporting on the DCA population at regular intervals, under the direction of the Delegated Authority Manager.
  • Ensure delegated claims due diligence practices adhere to internal claims manuals and processes, feeding into reviews of policies and procedures as directed.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of governance and risk management.
  • Manage delegated claims bordereaux, ensuring timely uploads to systems and adherence to minimum requirements.
  • Collaborate with the central operational audit team to ensure effective auditing of cover holders with claims handling authority and delegated claims administrators.
  • Day-to-day management of claims loss funds, working closely with Claims Operations and the wider claims team.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory developments from a delegated due diligence perspective, ensuring effective implementation under the guidance of the OCUO and compliance.
  • Work with the Delegated Authority Manager to ensure delegated claims standards and/or attestations are completed.
  • Provide insight and support to the cover holder audit team to ensure full cycle reviews of delegated authority business are effective.
  • Act as the Delegated Authority claims representative at the Delegated Oversight Groups.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a Delegated Claims Authority role is essential.
  • Good understanding of Lloyd's and delegated claims authority requirements.
  • Good understanding of Lloyd's systems such as DCOM and Secure Share is essential.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to deliver work on time to set deadlines.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
