We are seeking a proactive and passionate team member to collaborate closely with the local community, providing essential support to the Imaging department as an Imaging Support Specialist.

This role is situated within our innovative community diagnostic center, where you will assist in a variety of diagnostic procedures, particularly in CT and MRI.

The ideal candidate will work alongside radiographers, nurses, consultants, and patients to enhance service efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Flexibility in working hours, including extended days and weekends, is a necessary aspect of this position.

Strong communication skills are essential, as you will handle a diverse array of responsibilities, including patient care, administrative tasks, inventory management, and the upkeep of equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

As an Imaging Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring effective service delivery. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting and supporting the professional staff within the Imaging Directorate.
  • Upholding a high standard of patient care by executing assigned duties.
  • Facilitating an efficient and reliable system for patient throughput, ensuring that the operational needs of the unit are met.
  • Overseeing the training of junior imaging support staff.

Your responsibilities will generally fall into four main categories:

  • Clinical Assistance
  • Administrative and Clerical Support
  • Inventory Management and Control
  • Cleaning and Infection Control Measures

Qualifications

Essential

  • Level 3 (A or T-Level) qualifications or equivalent experience.

  • Previous training in a related healthcare role.
  • Completion of a care certificate.
